Worship, Fellowship & Service in the Congregational Tradition
This ministry is responsible for strengthening the church through encouraging members to give of their time, talent and treasure. The Stewardship Ministry manages the every member canvass that funds the operating budget, conducts periodic funds drives, and solicits gifts for perpetual and memorial funds. These efforts include:
• The Every Member Canvass, where each member of the church is contacted and urged to share their blessings • One Great Hour Of Sharing, which supports programs internationally • Neighbors In Need, which supports ministries of justice and compassion throughout the United States and Puerto Rico • The Christmas Fund provides financial aid to retired and active ministers who face overwhelming financial demands • Two annual blood drives • Promotion of environmental causes
How can I become involved in the Stewardship Ministry? • Make your own pledge to Little Home Church that reflects the blessings that you have received from God. • Are you a little uncomfortable with the commitment of a pledge? Why not give regularly and generously when you are able? • Complete time and talent surveys whenever they are distributed. • Make telephone calls during the every member canvass. • Share your time and talents in support of the ministry of Little Home Church. • Give blood. Afraid of needles? Help to solicit donors, work at the registration, or serve snacks to those that donate blood.
